Mandy and Corey met not once – but twice!
A friend introduced the two one evening, Mandy’s blonde curls cascading around her lovely face.
They met again, and Corey introduced himself – again.
“Corey! That’s Mandy!” the friend cried.
“The second time we met I had my hair straightened,” Mandy said. “I have naturally curly hair and rarely straighten it.”
This time, Corey made sure he jotted down this beautiful woman’s number.
The vivacious couple has so much in common, especially faith and career. Both come from devoted Catholic families, and both are sales professionals.
As the two drew close, they decided to spend the first day of spring doing something they both love: hiking up Crowder’s Mountain.
“Once we got to the top we sat in our favorite spot, which is actually a small ledge on the side of the mountain,” Mandy said. They shared a snack, then Mandy hopped up to head back down the mountain. She heard Corey ask her to wait.
“I turned around and he was on his knee with a ring in hand, and he asked me to marry him!” Mandy said. Once she said yes, Corey pulled out a bottle of wine bought on a special occasion.
“We had purchased it some time ago at a vineyard,” Mandy said. “When we purchased the bottle we jokingly said we would save this for the day we got engaged!”
Mandy and Corey both appreciated the depth their shared faith brought to their wedding day, and were especially grateful to their priest.
“Father Tom mentioned what time we had our first kiss, during the ceremony. I have never seen this at a wedding and certainly not during a Catholic wedding,” Mandy said.
“Also, we both come from large, Catholic families. In my family I have 4 brothers and sisters and Corey has 3 brother and sisters. Both of our parents are married and have stayed married to the same person.”
After a moving ceremony and rocking reception, the couple spent a magical honeymoon week in Costa Rica.
What was the best thing about their wedding day?
“I loved the garter toss. I knew Corey had something planned, and I imagined how funny and memorable it was going to be!” Mandy said.

Best, best wishes, Mandy and Corey. It was an honor to be part of your sacred day.
